Every August, everyone has a ranking. Every January, most of them hope you forgot. We graded our 2025 preseason projections and the industry’s — player by player — on what actually happened. Player for player, our board was closer to the final result 248 times to the market’s 164 — a winning record at QB, RB, WR, and TE alike.

Take the first 32 quarterbacks off 2025 draft boards — the Week 1 starters. Our preseason rank was closer to the actual finish for 20 of them, the market’s for 11. The other one was a dead heat.

We ranked 209 players 15 or more spots away from their 2025 draft-day consensus. The player finished closer to our call 143 times, the market’s 66 — better than two to one.
